Ganymede Mug & Website Changes

We’ve been busy updating the website and designing a devotional coffee mug of Ganymede, the God of Homosexual Love & Zeus’ lover.

We spent a considerable amount of time developing a process to take museum photos of ancient, curved surface art and flatten it for this purpose. It was a challenging and ultimately rewarding experience. In the process, I noticed small details, like Ganymede’s crown, that I otherwise would have missed! Then, we released the tool for all of you to use for free. It’s not perfect of course but no work of art ever truly is.

The Gremlins Are Back, Again

By Cliff Potts, CSO, and Editor-in-Chief of WPS News

Baybay City, Leyte, Philippines — April 17, 2026

The gremlins are at it again.

That is the simplest explanation, and right now it is probably the most accurate one too.

Over the last day or so, posts have been showing up at odd times, drifting loose from the schedule, and generally behaving like they have developed minds of their own. We are still aiming for a regular drop around 7:07 a.m. on April 17, 2026, Philippine time, but even that is a little fluid at the moment. The system appears to be functioning, just not with anything resembling discipline.

So here is the practical answer: do not worry too much about the exact posting times. If you come across a post, go ahead and read it when you see it. That is the best way to handle things until the gremlins decide they are done rearranging the furniture.

This is not a major emergency. It is more like a low-grade outbreak of technical nonsense, the kind that does not completely break the machine but does make it act like it has been awake too long and is no longer making good decisions.

We are aware of it. We are watching it. We are doing what can be done from this end.

But gremlins, as always, have their own schedule.

So if something lands early, late, or sideways, just bear with it. The content is still meant to be there, even if the timing has wandered off into the weeds. Consider this fair warning, advance notice, and a small request for patience while the little beasts burn off whatever strange energy they have found today.

🤔 Ah, the classic tale of "I rebuilt my website and am utterly shocked that technology changed in 15 years!" 🚀 Apparently, the only constant in web development is the author's penchant for stating the obvious and ignoring the fact that the world has moved on. 🌐🙄

I Rebuilt the Same Project After 15 Years — What Actually Changed in Web Development

In 2011 I launched a website. In 2026 I rebuilt it from scratch. Same domain, same purpose. A technical retrospective on 15 years of web development evolution.

I want to make a microblog page for my personal website, mainly only using Html styling and stuff, since I've seen other personal website feature microblogs and stuff.

Re-adding images using feridinha and imgbb, since Catbox.moe is down for me. So I'll continue adding more after hanging out with my mom in the morning.

Finished at last: all videos are now on MakerTube, and my website shows only video stills. Calmer to browse—more laid-back for the eyes and the mind.

Pictured: The Turning Dog (2019) — a small wire dog on a turntable. Spin the disc and magnetic balls fall and latch on at random, reshaping the dog each time.

🚀⚗️ Oh joy, now we can tweak mitochondrial DNA like we're rearranging furniture in a dollhouse—because who cares about a few deadly diseases when we're playing with the building blocks of life? 🧬 Meanwhile, Nature's website is a pixelated mess unless you're using a browser from this decade. 🙈

Faulty mitochondria cause deadly diseases: fixing them is about to get a lot easier

CRISPR-based tools can’t easily access the DNA in these organelles, but researchers are finding other ways in.
