It's funny, I had a call with the dev taking over from me at the agency contracted position the other day.

It made me realise how much I enjoy chatting with other devs but don't actually do it very often. I'm a sole trader working from home and mostly just deal with my clients.

What do others do in these situations? I read up on new stuff and follow/reply to people on here, but it's not quite the same as just chatting about stuff and whatever.

With things changing I'm quite conscious of how I feel about taking things in a different direction in 2026, but where and how? Not sure yet.
