I had no idea lightnings can also exhibit Doppler effect (blueshift & redshift), do they?
Either case, this photo of a lightning that I took last night shows some lightning arcs shifting in colour slightly to blue (approaching source of light) and red (withdrawing source of light) and they do appear to be consistent with its anatomy. I did consider axial chromatic aberration but that can't be it, the complete lightning is within the same focal plane, so...
¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
If you know anything more on the matter and can either confirm or reject Doppler shift in lightning, please drop me a comment.
Also, FWIW, I did consult the usual AI suspects and all I got was a round of overconfident-cum-condescending Dunning-Kruger-esque responses. So that was about as useful as expected - i.e., not in the slightest.
