We've all heard the often misquoted phrase 'money is the root of all evil'.

The actual line reads 'For the love of money is the root of all evil ...'.

So - why do we as a society admire, honour and elevate those who hoard insanely huge amounts of money? Many within this ultra minority spend obscene amounts of money on their lifestyle - and to what end?

With more than enough to go around, why do we continue to let so many suffer at or below the poverty line?

Get a good job with good pay and you're okay.
Money, it's a gas.
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.
New car, caviar, four star daydream,
Think I'll buy me a football team.

Hmmm, I think I have to stop using Luddite as an insult. They were on to something. They weren't protesting new technology but about how wealth was being siphoned from the lower classes.

Maybe I should just read the article and find out...
