Reporting requirements fall under the Automated and Electric Vehicles Act 2018 and the Automated Vehicles Act 2024, which govern vehicle authorisation for self-driving operation. The upcoming Automated Passenger Services permitting scheme, not yet in force, will allow the DVSA, with TfL consent, to issue permits for autonomous passenger services in London.
