Levänluhta (Finnish: [ˈleʋænˌluhtɑ]; lit. "#alga's #floodmeadow") or Leväluhta is a spring and prominent archaeological site in the village of #Orismala in #Isokyrö, #Finland. It was used as an #IronAge water graveyard from the 5th to the 8th centuries, containing remains of around 100 individuals. It's one of the oldest known burial sites in Finland with preserved human bones, as the #waterlogged environment had contributed to an exceptionally good preservation of the remains.
Still on Risa for a diplomatic conference. Went for a swim in the hot springs today. The water was lovely, but the company... let's just say, they could use a little empathy. #LwaxanaTroi #Waterlogged #StarTrek #StarTrekTNG #StarTrekDS9 #DS9

The C Word
Getting ready for bed excited about the rain coming tomorrow. I know we have had a ton but I still love the smell and the sound of it hitting the ground. And it will be just a few months from now when we will be asking where it all went. #RainRainGoAway #SoundsToSleepTo #AtmostphericRiver #WaterLogged

Do you have a huge book backlog? Do you avoid doing things just to read? Do you read just to avoid doing things? Bookrastinating is here for you.

With all the rain, I have found four of my new trees standing in pools of water. We have a flood plain and clearly I had planted too close to it. I have just come in from replanting four trees. They were very waterlogged and by the time I had filled my gumboots, fell or sat in the puddles I was as saturated. Trees replanted and staked again though. I'm bushed.
