Here's a favorite "cheap and cheerful" watch from the recently departed Eddie P. and all his friends at Time Factors: this Smiths-branded execution of the W.W.W. pattern. I've long had a weakness for recent watches inspired by that famed Dirty Dozen, and this is a fine example of that breed: a tasteful and approximately vintage-like 36mm, a useful level of traditional magnetic shielding, and fine timekeeping courtesy of the hand-wound Sellita SW219 movement. Do these movements routinely stay under a second of deviation per day, or did Time Factors find room in this moderate budget to put in some time regulating these, or did I just get lucky? However it worked out, I'm happy with this, and it's gotten lots of wrist time since I got it (even though it competes with nominally-fancier watches).

Such a badass bluety of a beast for my battle with Monday! This watch is so incredibly photogenic…..from every angle in my opinion. It’s a watch that is designed with so many unique details that separates this piece from the overflowing sea of same old designs. Tired designs. We don’t need another microbrand watch with mercedes hands. I appreciate all of these functional details that are aesthetically pleasing but also function without flaw. As you all know, the crown is pure magic, and the bezel/bezel lock are too! Right down to the smallest functional detail, the signed lug screws and the screws that hold the lugs to the case.

The pixelated sea dial takes me back to my Super Nintendo days and one of my favorite games Actraiser and my favorite Sega Master System game Phantasy Star. I love those classic games. 2D games are the best, the Nintendo 64 and PS1 were garbage. Those 3D graphics were dogshit. I know I have mentioned this before but I am shocked by how much I actually love this dial. It grew on me bigtime. The crystal is just as fantastic because of how damn clear it is. Most of the time the crystal doesn’t even look like it’s even there.

The contrast between the PVD case and the blue dial makes this watch even more of a beautiful experience on the wrist. I always forget that I can join in on #bluewatchmonday with this watch. I appreciate you all for allowing me to share my unique collection with you all and sharing my thoughts on each of them. I hope you all have a great start to your week!
