Just had to do a coding test for a Front End Developer job at IBM. The test was all implementing algorithms. At least they allowed using javascript.

I spent some time googling the answers like anyone would do in the real world then thought "fuck it".

For both of the questions my answer was "I am a FRONT END DEVELOPER applying for a FRONT END DEVELOPER position. If I was assigned a ticket that required me to solve this I would assume someone had made a terrible mistake. I don't do this sort of work. If I had to do it I would just google the answer like anyone else would."

Its a complete waste of time setting a test like that. It just shows the recruiter or manager has no idea what a FED does too.
