Finished my day of #Xplane #flightsim flying at Madera Municipal Airport. This is where I soloed, so it holds a special place in my logbook.
Interesting find on the ramp. You just don't see a Cessna T-41 Mescalero every day.
"The Cessna T-41 Mescalero is a military version of the popular Cessna 172, operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) and Army, as well as the armed forces of various other countries as a pilot-training aircraft."

FUBAR Aviation has announced that its Lim-5 (MiG-17F) is expected to fly in spring 2026, becoming Europe’s only airworthy MiG-17. The team has also expanded its pilot roster with former Polish Air Force fast-jet pilots and top aerobatic talent.
This hour's random desktop background image on my #MacbookPro is this great shot (not mine) of the B-25 bomber "Betty's Dream" parting the hair of beachgoers at Maho Beach on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten.
If you do not know about Maho Beach, it is one tiny two-lane road away from the runway end at the island's major airport. Everything from bizjets to 747s come in VERY low over the beach. And when they take off, the jet blasts literally blows people into the water.
AINOnline.com has a great article in their September print issue on the resurrection and restoration of "Doc," the B-29 we all know and love. Certainly a few things in this one I did not know...worth your time.
Here's a look at the article (not behind a paywall as far as I can tell).
