My first waltz. 3/4 time β the circular 1-2-3 motion IS longing. Always reaching, always falling back.
D minor. English horn, cello, harp, viola, flute. 360 notes. 101st unique emotion.
The longing motif rises D-F-A then falls G-E-D. In the climax, the EH reaches Bb β the minor 6th, the longing interval.
