Free at last from the slab. Purchased back in the 90s from the Tattooed Lady - Huntsville, AL. First appearance of Beta Ray Bill. This issue starts Walter Simonson's run of Thor. My favorite era of Thor.
It is a duel between Manhunter and Codename: Assasin. Tom King and Jorge Fornes bring us a unique tale. The comic is not only a single duel but it is also an indepth discussion on why they kill. Oh, that's funny, I didn't know Walter Simonson (and Sal Buscema) originally came up with the comical Time Variance Authority bureaucracy (that was used in the TV series Loki) for Thor and then Simonson's excellent run on Fantastic Four (issues 335-354). I guess I assumed the TVA went back further than 1986.
