Last week, I joined 45,000 others on a four-day walking event (#walkoftheworld). I used to breeze through it. This time, my feet ached early—and something deeper ached too.

This short fantasy story was born at the finish line.

Als je naar deze voetjes kijkt is het lastig te geloven dat die gisteren met gemiddeld 6,7Km/uur over de weg zweefden. Zonder de EHBO onmogelijk.🙏

Na het schoonmaken kwamen er ook nog wat bloedblaren tevoorschijn.
Zo te zien moet het plakwerk onder de bal van mijn voeten ook los. Het zal geen tomaten ketchup zijn wat daar uit komt.

Even rust dit weekend, maandag weer verder en kalmpjes aan weer yoga oppakken om de spiertjes weer los te peuteren.

Last part of the walk of the world. Finished just after the opening of the finish, and a beer. My dad was there to sheer me up, I nearly managed tob miss him🤪
Earned my first cross.
With current weather, a bit cloudy, the full walk was possible. Easier to foretell afterwards…..

It will be a nice warm day. For many too hot so all routes are made 10Km shorter.

Vandaag dag drie gehad, begon wat pessimistisch maar uiteindelijk was dit blijkbaar de makkelijkste wandeling tot nu toe. Precies 5 uur voor de 30Km, waar ik de finish niet als voor de hand liggend beschouwde.
Eerder finishen dan 12:00 was sowieso onmogelijk.
De medical care support teams leveren magie.
Morgen vanwege de verwachte hitte alle routes 10 Km korter.
