I know this is a lot to ask, but I would really love it if my Wacom tablet was recognised as being plugged in to my Mac when it is plugged into my Mac.

Since I look at your dark things here, I feel like starting doodling with Krita & Co. 
EatsbluecrayonHat jemand Erfahrung damit, dass Windows seit dem neuesten Update ein Wacom Cintiq nicht mehr erkennt? Ohne Tablet kann ich nicht zeichnen .... -_-
Has anyone experienced Windows no longer recognizing a Wacom Cintiq after an update? I can't do any drawing without my tablet .... -_-

Post legal, com dicas de como utilizar aquelas tablets de desenho no Linux, usando drivers do Linux Wacom Project e o app RNote.
Também gosto muito de ficar rabiscando, principalmente durante resolução de questões, até comprei uma #LousaMagica de 16 polegadas.
Mas com tablet, deve ser bem prático, usando o app supracitado e também o recurso do #Flameshot de rabiscar a própria tela de trabalho ou até mesmo no plugin do #Excalidraw do #Obsidian, uma "bruxaria" que consegue salvar imagens em formato #markdown
Depois, vou ver se pego uma emprestada com um amigo ilustrador para fazer testes.

@tootbrute 🤩 Same here! Initially I bought a pretty cheap & pretty poor #onebywacom #WacomTablet to get a bit more comfort for corrections on my scanned negatives by using #GIMP.
Then I installed #Krita and... what a pretty way to do all my other graphics work with! After install (on OpenSUSE w/ KDE) it runs direct out of the box. And the more I use Krita, the more I have learned to love it. :smile:
I've never used Adobe products before and thanks to Krita for using it alongside #Scribus, I probably never have to.
@bison same here. My pretty cheap & spartan (🤭) #OneByWacom tablet has been running smoothly on my desktop PC and also on my two Noteboks (here with a second monitor) since more than 2 1/2 years.
Once configured, just plug it in and get started.
@Andecaya "Damals", gerade wegen meines Fotokrams und oft schon unter Windows problematischen Scannertreibern usw., bin ich auch skeptisch gewesen. Auf meinem zu der Zeit "aktuellen"PC am Schreibtisch hatte ich aber genug Platz auf der Platte und hab erstmal Linux (ich glaub, Mandriva oder so war es damals) zusätzlich draufgebügelt.
Kurz darauf bin ich zu (open)SUSE gewechselt und habe es nicht bereut. Selbst damals lief mein erstes #WacomTablet problemlos und auch Epson's damaliger V350 Scanner, der unter Windiows ob seines motorisierten Filmeinzugs immer Probleme machte.
Damals... war 2007. Anfang 2018 ist Windows dann von all unseren Maschinen verschwunden. Ob ein Medion Netbook von Aldi 2011, das Toshiba NB510 von 2009, unser 2018 neues HP Pavillon oder der Desktiop am Schreibtisch - keine Probleme gehabt. Draufgebügelt, lief.
Und das, wo das Toshiba Netzbook und der HP Läppi ausdrückliche Windows-Geräte (haha) gewesen sein sollen.
Wenn Du ein Laptop zum ersten Herumspielen hast... Probieren schadet nicht. Und wenn Du mit Distribution A nicht klarkommst, nimmste halt die nächste. Bis Du Dein Glück gefunden hast.

Funktioniert doch großartig, oder? Zwar benutze ich nur das #OneByWacom (jedoch in der großen Ausführung - ich brauch Platz! 🤭), weil ich mir das Teil ursprünglich nur zum Ausbessern von Filmscans benutzen wollte, aber naja... dann musste ich natürlich doch mit Krita rumspielen. :wink:
Darf ich mal neugierig nachfragen, unter welchem System Du Dein #WacomTablet laufen hast? Bei mir ist es #OpenSuse #Tumbleweed #Linux mit #KDE. Am meisten tütere ich mit Gimp rum, naja... inzwischen vermehrt auch mit Krita und Inkscape.
Ich fürchte, #Krita wird mich demnächst noch viel Zeit kosten - Spieltrieb und so... 🤭
Khurram Wadee ✅I got an #upgrade today to #KDE 6.2. I’m always a bit wary of upgrading the desktop in the middle of the working day because the behaviour may be unpredictable because of it. However, at first glance this is looking good. A detail that I like is that you can now map the #buttons on the #pen for my #WacomTablet to #MouseButtons as well as #KeyStrokes.
James@kupfers #Miro still works best with my #WacomTablet; left hand on the tablet to do the drawing, right on the mouse to control tools.
