Just discovered that the #Wachowskis who directed the #Matrix series (pre & post transition) also directed #JupiterRising which I like despite the dismal reviews it has gotten.
The story is implausible, the acting often terrible but the CGI is great & the action scenes are entertaining which gets a rating of 6 out of 10 from me.
Oh, I liked the #Wachowskis when they were still brothers.

Tonight’s film has been selected.
IMO a visually and narratively ambitious film.
If one can get on its wavelength, the build up and execution of the final race is pure cinema.

Re-re-rewatched 2015's #JupiterAscending and savored again what a trove of delights the film is.
Sky rollerblading through Chicago's dawn sky while morphing fighter spaceships try to shoot you down? Falling in love with an uncertain but courageous half-albino angel-winged half-wolf? Fighting back against a capitalist vampire bent on literally converting the people of Earth into profit?
The whole thing's like 'get in losers, let's go for a hell of a ride!'
Thanks again to the #Wachowskis for continuing to strive to take people to new places with every story.
