silwol@wagons-lis Delighted to see the photo of a very familiar location here in the fediverse. #Vorchdorf is one of my frequently visited train stations, and #SternHafferl seems to have a partiality for old trains, they frequently operate them on different occasions such as anniversaries of their tracks. Unusual traffic on the #Vorchdorferbahn. On the occasion of the celebrations for 120 years of the Vorchdorfer Lokalbahn, a higher volume of passengers was (rightly) expected and a Stadler GTW from the Linzer Lokalbahn was allowed to help out.

A special photo run on the #ÖGEG heritage line between #Ampflwang and #Timelkam with the 92.2271 locomotive from #LokalbahnvereinZwettl.
It was brought to Upper Austria for the celebrations of 120 years #vorchdorferbahn and then ran for one day on the ÖGEG line before returning to Lower Austria. The run on the heritage line was a great chance as it was not nearly as crowded as the weekend before.
One of the few occasions to get Zwettler beer in Upper Austria. ;)
