"The friction of our blades can make steaming-hot soup in under 10 minutes"
I was wondering how it was heating it up 🤔

Just dropped a new video: Fresh salsa in a Vitamix — chaos, speed, and flavor 3x speed POV style 🌶️🍅

Shifters! Want to dispose of the skin, teeth, and nails left behind when you take on a new form? I recommend the Vitamix Foodcycler FC 50 (https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/shop/foodcycler-fc-50). It will break down those leftovers so they can be used as plant food for your indoor plants or mixed with soil in your garden.

I also asked #Vitamix (with a concern about their plungers, in particular, which have gotten a little "chewed up" in our blender). Their customer service rep offered much more specific info:
We are happy to help you with your inquiry today. No part of the Vitamix that a customer may touch or come into contact with food contains:
@scalzi Do you use butter on your grilled cheese or mayo?
The tomato soup is best if made using the #Vitamix method:
- 2 carrots
- 1 celery stick
- 2 cans of stewed tomatoes
- chunk of preferred cheese
- small bit of onion
- herbs (whatever is handy)
Run it on high for about 5 min, until hot. Add a splash of cream and mix in.
😨 that's a lot a reported lacerations, can't believe they're saying to just ask for a repair kit
#vitamix #recall #vitamixrecall
ALL consumers, including consumers who participated in the 2018 recall, should immediately stop using the recalled 8-ounce and 20-ounce blending containers and blade bases, and contact Vitamix for a repair kit consisting of a protective plastic shroud to attach over the blade base and additional instructional labels.
My first dosa/idli batter (3:1 ratio of rice to urad dal) was a mild success! 🇮🇳 A few notes:
1. 70F was too cold; I had to use the yogurt mode on the #InstantPot.
2. Do not skip the salt (pre-fermentation). The fenugreek seeds are OK to skip.
3. It seems OK to soak/blend the rice and dal together in the #Vitamix.
4. Don’t forget to measure the water! 😅 Whatever I eyeballed made batter that felt slightly too thick and the idli wasn’t as fluffy as I wanted. Try adding poha/cooked rice next time.
