Visitors can watch the whole process - from bonding and feeding to the careful checks the team carry out to make sure every lamb is warm, dry, and thriving. The air was a mix of soft bleats, warm hay and that unmistakable early‑spring light pouring through the barn roof. After a long winter, the whole farm feels like it’s waking up again, full of new life and new energy. You can fuel up at the cafe too! 📌 Rand Farm Park, Rand, Lincoln, LN8 5NJ What you’ll see this season: • Ride the heights of their Skyrider • Practice your aim at archery • Take a tractor ride • Play silos, go-karts, fun golf and more outdoor play! • Indoor play areas with slides and balls you can target at people! • Indoor lambing – as a lowland Lincolnshire farm, Rand lambs earlier in warm, straw‑lined barns • Heat lamps glowing to keep newborns warm in their first hours • Newborn lambs taking their first steps within minutes of birth - there was a live birth when we were there! • Bottle‑fed lambs getting extra care from the farm team plus you can take part in feeding them too • Live demonstrations and explanations from staff throughout the day - like being able to hold the guinea pigs and bunnies The Farm has a huge variety of residents! Whether they are in the Big Barn, the outdoor paddocks, or the "small furry" section, here is a list of the animals you can meet: The Big Barn • Sheep & Lambs: Seasonal newborns + the famous Swiss Valais Blacknose. • Goats: Anglo Nubians, Pygmies and Golden Guernseys. • Cows: Jersey and shaggy Highland cows. • Pigs: Friendly residents and seasonal piglets. Field Friends • Donkeys & Ponies: Look for Charlie the donkey and Billy the pony. • Alpacas: The curious paddock residents. We enjoyed a day of racing, complete with activities for the whole family like face painting, petting farm animals and soft play! Made a fun change in activities and would go again! Market Rasen Racecourse is a National Hunt racecourse in the town of Market Rasen, in Lincolnshire, England. It is owned and operated by Jockey Club Racecourses - racing initially began at Market Rasen in the early 1800s, however found its current home in 1924, its first race meeting coming in April of that year. This course stages over 20 jump racing fixtures each year - the beautiful track is best known as a premier summer jumping racecourse. The oval shaped course is 1 mile 2 furlongs in distance. The ground is undulating and bends are sharp. There are nine fairly easy jumps, two of these are open ditches and there is one water jump in front of the stands! The family-friendly atmosphere, its stunning countryside views and exciting races make Market Rasen a great day out for everyone. @market_rasen_racecourse host fun functions like Women's Day, Family Day, Race Days, Live Music and much much more! You never know what wildlife you will stumble across when out walking the countryside. A roe deer, Swanpool, Lincoln UK, unfortunately now known as the Western Growth Corridor. (It's such a shame that such a rich wildlife habitat is being replaced with housing).
