Installing and configuring software on #nixos is a one liner, so much that it feels overwhelming to install the same software on a FHS #linux.

Juggling between config files, system wide permissions, directory umask and systemd unit for #virshle installation under #archlinux and #debian reminds me how much you win when making the switch!

#virshle is improving and now needs better documentation than a simple README.md

The #nixos #vm manager written in #rust now has its own documentation website πŸ˜‰

@TheDragon Haha πŸ˜…

This is indeed a long time awaited feature, that I direly need too!!

And at that time I was afraid of the way to implement it.
(Event handling in multiple threads with rust async and mspc channels.)

But I didn't give up and am currently upping my skills on other projects.

I am struggling right now but in the end I'll just have to slap some code from #virshle into #pipelight. (hopefully this year!)

Because it requires custom disk images with nixos-generator,
for now, #virshle virtual machines are only compatible with #nixos.

Should I take the burden to port it to other distributions?

Did you know? You can #ssh into a local #vm without any network configuration via a special unix socket #vsock...

`ssh vm/my-new-machine` πŸ‘Œ

I couldn't resist the urge to add it to #virshle

First deployment was easy, thanks to #nixos.

But I still have to simplify the installation process for you to use it at home. 🀘

go go #virshle!

And we have a logo now! 😊

@TomsITCafe I like this uncommon writing!
I hope #virshle will soon be part of the warfare tooling! πŸ’ͺ
