It’s the oldest phone I own!
It’s a little sorry for itself, with broken wires, paint in the mechanism, a stuck hook switch and slow dial… it’s not in original condition (bits have been overcleaned, or repainted) but I’m not worried about that.
The first move has been to get it all apart for cleaning!

Starting off with one of my favorite Sony Ericsson models, the S700i.
On its release in 2004, it was a very high end phone, based on the SO505iS model released exclusively in Japan the year prior.
It has a very large and high resolution screen for the time, as well as being the first 1.3 Megapixel camera device released by Sony Ericsson outside of Japan. It also has a unique "swivel" mechanism to open and close the phone.
My unit was originally locked to Vodafone, however I was able to unlock it using the DSS-25 docking station accessory (as it functions as a serial-to-USB adapter) and the "SEMC Tool" unlocking software.
