Starting up yet another project... I'm trying to record some (okay a lot of) game footage in 4k. My display is only 1440p, but I can either use Nvidia dsr for getting the display to 4k or a game mod to make the window literally 4k.

Whats the best way to capture 4k60fps? I'm able to maintain (mostly) 60fps, but OBS cries and drops frames like hot potatoes. Nvidia's capture does a weird variable framerate that causes trouble in kdenlive. I tried lowering some settings in OBS, but the recording was a blurry mess.

Specs: Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2080S, 32gb ram, all ssd/nvme, win11
