Today, for the first time, #YouTube said I couldn't watch a video unless I logged in. In my browser! That always used to work.

I think we're in trouble. #NewPipe, #LibreTube, #Invidious, #ViMusic - none of these can help anymore. Maybe yt-dlp, but that's not always practical, especially for hour-long videos. And even it gets broken every now and then.

I used YouTube mostly for listening to music. I don't see any replacement for that. If we made a PeerTube instance and started uploading music like folks do on YouTube, we'd get in legal trouble in no time.

A couple of weeks ago, #ViMusic stopped working properly. More than every other song failed to play.
It looks like at around the same time, the project was archived in the octopus site and disappeared from F-Droid.
A fork named #RiMusic exists but that one can't play anything at all. There's an issue opened about it and they said you're supposed to log in.

#ViMusic my favorite #spotify alternative for mobiles stopped working due of latest changes in #youtube API. Now I use #RiMusic (https://rimusic.xyz/) and works pretty well

Avui #ViMusic m'ha deixat de funcionar a l'Android.
He vist que #FDroid ja no el tenen al repositori, suposo que per obsolet i l'han substituït pel fork #RiMusic que està més actualitzat, però em dona el mateix error, crec que Google els ha bloquejat.
Així que m'he instal·lat Harmony Music i per sort, aquest sí que funciona.

Hola, mastodontes. ¿Alguien por aquí de los que usan #ViMusic está teniendo problemas para encontrar canciones recientemente? Me refiero, no para acceder a mis playlists y álbumes, sino a la hora de buscar cualquier canción. Aparecen los álbumes pero no las canciones. Y da igual que busques Queen, Michael Jackson o Rosalía.

@RL_Dane there is a PR and a APK that fixes #ViMusic https://github.com/vfsfitvnm/ViMusic/pull/1654 works for me
