2024 VFX/Animation Studio Linux Survey

The purpose of this studio survey is to update the VFX and Animation studio community on the current state of migration from CentOS7 and the current plans for artist workstations running Linux. Such information will help inform better decision-making for studios and vendors alike. This survey is organized by the VFX Reference Platform Working Group. All individual studio submissions will be handled strictly confidentially, and only aggregate results will be shared publicly. The aggregate survey results will be shared on the vfx-platform-discuss mailing list, and at the upcoming VFX Reference Platform User Group / Town Hall in early September 2024. Multiple submissions per studio will be accepted and consolidated when the results are compiled. Please submit responses before the survey closes on Friday, 23rd August 2024. Thank you for contributing to a better shared understanding of our collective platform practices and needs.
