There are sure signs of spring on the Canadian Prairies — snow melting, pelicans splashing down in the South Saskatchewan River, and the sight of brand-new calves taking shaky first steps in the field.
We recently adopted a cat. He is a black cat, but his fur is ticked. It is black at the tips of the hairs but white at the bottoms.
It also is crimped / wavy; so are his whiskers. Is this similar to American Wirehair hair and whiskers? I looked for close-up images, but was unable to find any.
