is there a good reason for not being able to manage multiple versions of shared libraries in a system ? i can see one : saving disk space.
asking that as a noob.
i mean, i can posess two versions of the same library on my disk. therefore i fail to see where the "inconsistency" problem is. i have python 2 and python 3, and it works.
