“È un episodio grave, che non può essere sottovalutato”. Lo dichiara il Presidente del Consiglio regionale del Veneto, Luca Zaia, commentando l'aggressione avvenuta in provincia di Mantova ai danni del videomaker trevigiano Giovanni De Faveri e della giornalista Giulia Innocenzi durante un'inchiesta di Report.
“Parliamo di professionisti che stavano semplicemente svolgendo il loro lavoro, su suolo pubblico, documentando fatti di interesse generale. Essere colpiti in questo modo è inaccettabile e dice molto del clima che a volte si crea attorno a certe inchieste”, prosegue il Presidente Zaia.
“A Giovanni De Faveri e a Giulia Innocenzi va la mia solidarietà piena, personale e istituzionale. Esprimo vicinanza anche alla redazione di Report e a Sigfrido Ranucci, che da anni portano avanti un lavoro di approfondimento che qualcuno può definire scomodo, ma che è necessario per il servizio pubblico e per un'informazione libera, che non può essere minacciata dalla violenza”, sottolinea il Presidente del Consiglio regionale del Veneto.
“Un fatto come questo, avvenuto fuori dai confini regionali ma che coinvolge direttamente un professionista veneto, non può lasciare indifferenti. È importante che venga accertata con precisione la dinamica e che episodi simili non si ripetano”, conclude Zaia.

LA NOTIZIA: Venezia, un’azienda licenzia tutti i 37 lavoratori: sostituiti dall’intelligenza artificiale

Tutti licenziati. Il motivo? Il nuovo modello organizzativo aziendale non prevede più delle strutture locali, che verranno di fatto sostituite dall’intelligenza artificiale. Il caso è quello dell’americana InvestCloud che ha deciso di accelerare sull’Ia cambiando il suo modello di business e licenziando i 37 dipendenti di Marghera, nel veneziano. Il 9 marzo i lavoratori hanno ricevuto la lettera che annuncia la procedura collettiva e liquida il “modello storico su misura”, ovvero quello organizzato in team dislocati sul territorio.
Un modello che per l’azienda “ha determinato duplicazioni operative, economie di scala ridotte, tempi di sviluppo più lunghi e una valorizzazione solo parziale dei benefici in termini di produttività e automazione derivanti dall’intelligenza artificiale”. L’azienda offre, a livello globale, piattaforme digitali per la gestione del patrimonio e soluzioni software alle istituzioni finanziarie. E ora ritiene che sia il momento di dire basta alle soluzioni personalizzate in base al Paese dei clienti, eliminando così le strutture nazionali.
Si punterà, invece, su pochi centri di eccellenza globali e con un nuovo modello basato sull’accelerazione degli investimenti basati sull’intelligenza artificiale. Il licenziamento collettivo preoccupa i sindacati, non solo per la singola vicenda ma anche per il rischio che il modello venga ripetuto altrove. Per questo Matteo Masiero, segretario della Fim Cisl, chiede azioni per “arginare un fenomeno che rischia di allargarsi in tutto il settore dell’Ict”.

All employees have been laid off. The reason? The company’s new organizational model no longer provides for local structures, which will be effectively replaced by artificial intelligence. The case is that of the American InvestCloud, which decided to accelerate with AI by changing its business model and laying off the 37 employees in Marghera, in the Venetian region. On March 9th, the workers received the letter announcing the collective and liquidation procedure of the “historic tailor-made model,” that is, the one organized in teams located on the territory.

A model that, for the company, “led to operational duplication, reduced economies of scale, longer development times, and only partial appreciation of the benefits in terms of productivity and automation resulting from artificial intelligence.” The company offers, globally, digital platforms for wealth management and software solutions to financial institutions. And now it believes it is time to say goodbye to customized solutions based on the client’s country, thus eliminating national structures.

Instead, it will focus on a few global centers of excellence and with a new model based on accelerating investments based on artificial intelligence. The collective layoff worries the unions, not only for the single case but also for the risk that the model will be repeated elsewhere. Therefore, Matteo Masiero, secretary of the Fim Cisl, asks for action to “stem a phenomenon that risks spreading throughout the ICT sector.”
