I wanted to get my caffeinated beverage for the day. I walked up to the vending machine and it wouldn't take my credit card because it wasn't properly connected to the internet. Yes, I know this is pitiful, but still.

Here's a classic **men's magazine** vending machine. It was still working when I took this shot back in 2012 somewhere in Osaka city (大阪市内)
This appears to be a recycling machine where you insert a crushed can to make the slot machine run. I assume a win would make some change come out of the hole on the right.
Above the hole on the left it says 「空缶？入口」.
Found someplace in Shiga near Nagahama... I think..

Not a vending machine, but here's an lobster (伊勢海老) crane game in Shinsekai Osaka (大阪、新世界) back in November of 2005.
I've only seen two "Marine Catcher" machines. The other one was some place in Nagasaki.
