I feed our rats many different foodโ fresh berries, fruits and greens; cooked veggies, grains, legumesโpretty much what we eat everyday.
To supplement vitB12, I started making wheat cereal cakes with almond milk and flaxseed meal every morning.
Iโve always mixed a teeny pinch of matcha green tea in our companion ratsโ breakfast. ๐พ๐ต๐๐โจ

Itโs a curse and blessing at the same time that many nutritional studies are done on rodents. I bow to serve the knowledge for the sake of pet rats.

I know that, but to put this info into practice is another story. (When your ratties beg for snacks, impossible to say no๐ญ) Thus, I stick with PlantBased food which is naturally low in calories.
Our longest-lived rattie, Lil Marty never ever over-ate. He also didnโt touch human junk food. He never got sick.
Raturday is not over until the little rattie has some noodle!
