This creosote bush has obviously been enjoying the rain. She is used medicinally for snake bites, chicken pox, and menstrual cramps, but since I don't have any of those problems, I've just been enjoying her company.

She smells sooooo good.

She's pretty small for being about my age or perhaps a bit older, but like all full time desert dwellers, she knows how to conserve her resources during the 120°F summers.

Quartzsite is a very small impoverished town that welcomes retirees in RVs of all sorts every winter, from multimillion dollar class A diesel pushers sporting their Trump flags to DV surviving single teen moms in tents and makeshift campers built from sedans.

The tourist season is coming to an end: late March for those of us without a/c and early April for the bougies.

Everybody's got problems; wherever you are, please check in with your elders and disabled neighbours if you are lucky enough to have them.

We need their brains just as much, if not more, than they need our brawn.
