ℹ️ The nothern Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) grows up to 31 cm long and has a wingspan of up to 72 cm. It feeds on insects, seeds and larvae. Its call is very distinctive. ⚠️ The Lapwing is highly endangered due to habitat loss (especially drainage of wet meadows).

ℹ️ Der Kiebitz (Vanellus vanellus) wird bis zu 31 cm groß und bekommt eine Spannweite von bis zu 72 cm. Er ernährt sich u.a. von Insekten, Samen und Larven. Sein Ruf ist sehr markant. ⚠️ Der Kiebitz ist aufgrund Lebensraumverlust (vor allem trockenlegen von Feuchtwiesen) stark gefährdet. 🏆 Er ist Vogel des Jahres 1996 und 2024.
