Got an eufy robot cleaner yesterday and had it all set up to replace my old Chinese knock-off brand.
Man, it is just *so* much more smarter with the LIDAR sensor! And even the max vacuum isn't really all that noisy! Also, it has hair detangling!?!? Amazing!
Would love to know why The Former Neighbourhood 🐈 Thug takes vacuuming as such an egregious affront. He yells at me the entire time. (Personally I think he's swearing at me.) And he's not getting over it at 19.
At this point, I sweep the floors first, then just vacuum up the little pile of primarily cat hair. Maybe that's the answer. It's sucking up all his extraneous hair. Maybe he sees himself being sucked up into the void.🤔
*apparently, the 'V' on my keyboard needs vacuuming so it won't stick so much. Also apparently, editing a CW doesn't edit the CW in the replies (because, doh!, why should it?). So I edited the 'v's in; but then I edited them back out so the people who already replied wouldn't be stuck out there alone with adice & acuums.)
So, my current vacuum cleaner is one that my sister gave me when she moved in 2017. (She owned three perfectly functional vacuum cleaners - who does that?)
Anyway, it's a bagless model with a HEPA filter, probably from the mid-20-zeroes (the mid-aughts?); and it does all the things it's supposed to do.
Or it would if I used it more. I tend to find pushing it around pretty exhausting, with the result that not nearly enough vacuuming happens around here.
I'm wondering if a new more-up-to-date vacuum cleaner with all the latest super-typhoon ultra-technology would significantly easier to use. Are there any Fedipeople out there who buy new vacuum cleaners more often than they renew their passports; & could shed some light on whether vacuum cleaners have become noticeably easier to use since the last Obama administration?
*note: while I would love to have a robot vacuum cleaner, that's not a feasible option right now.
This #Cleaning Tool Changed My #Vacuuming Routine
As an apartment dweller with primarily carpeted floors, I dread vacuuming. Sure, like any chore, it gets monotonous week after week, but I tend to have the kiss of death when it comes to vacuums — they enter my home and leave in terror. I can't tell you how many times I've knelt before yet another model, trying to figure out what could have caused its demise. Aside from occasionally vacuuming small particles left over from my DIY projects, I found that the true culprit is actually hair. I don’t have pets to place blame on, but rather, I have long hair that sheds, accumulating in my carpet and becoming a nemesis to vacuums. Thankfully, I discovered a game-changing solution: a carpet rake.
