Without reliable #electricity, years of work and thousands of samples simply thaw into loss. A large backup battery can keep this knowledge alive.

Massive #Russian missile and drone attack on #Ukraine last night.

#Russia attacked Ukraine with 574 drones and about 40 missiles of various types.

◾️ #Russian attacks reached #Uzhhorod, as well, very close to the border. An #American plant producing electronics was hit, and 15 people were injured. It is a purely civilian object.

◾️In #Lviv, one person killed, three injured. Dozens of residential buildings are damaged.

#Ukraine is developing its border infrastructure with its Western neighbours by building new rail lines with the #European 1435mm track standard - vs 1520mm in the rest of the country. #Uzhhorod - Chop is finished in summer, more is planned.

Friends, a very interesting and important event happened last weekend. The #Ukrainian city of #Uzhhorod was the centre of a “#Cultural_Ramstein” - the first international Cooperation for Resilience conference. Representatives of 28 countries and international organizations discussed the state of culture in #Ukraine during the war and in future recovery.

Culture and education are no less important to secure #Ukraine’s present and future than a strong military.

On December 21, #Volodymyr_Zelensky officially appointed Professor of #Uzhhorod National University and military serviceman #Fedir_Shandor as #Ukraine’s Ambassador to #Hungary

This is stated in a decree published on the president’s website.

The professor, who is of #Hungarian descent, volunteered to join the #AFU on the first day of the full-scale invasion. He famously delivered lectures to his students directly from the trenches.
