Just wrapped up session 11 of my Ultraviolet Grimwilds campaign! I feel like I have a better handle on the strengths and weaknesses of both UVG and Grimwild now, and while I can't fully endorse either without at least a few caveats, I'm still very much enjoying both!
Maybe I should even clean up my conversion document enough to be able to post it to my blog or Itch 🙂↕️
(They also work together very well, because UVG will frequently give you only the tiniest bit of information about anything, while Grimwild is built entirely around making sure that's never an issue)

Populated the Spectrum Palace's map using momatoes' Oracle deck 💫 . The cards are gorgeous, and made for some memorable encounters, including a fake witch and geometry-loving glass golem

The PCs managed to infiltrate the palace but ran away when their presence was noticed. New plan is to recruit heretics to topple the satraps' agonizing light cult and take advantage of the confusion to extract the Ultra barmaid and the hypersleeping megasloth from the palace. 🌈
Caravan creation in UVG done! My players and I had a lot of fun with creating the caravan, but we had an equal amount of frustration at the chapter being only partially updated to 2e, leaving some tricky rules inconsistencies that required checking the 1e rulebook to resolve.
Still, I'm excited for next week when we can start actually playing! I've never played a game where I needed *two* session 0s before 🌝

From the Perilous Wilds. Also repeated in Ultraviolet Grasslands, which has a table of quirks for mounts. Stuff like "won't sleep quietly without a favored trinket".
That way if the party has to eat the mount to keep from starving, it hurts more..
