'Quest for the New Moral World' by John F. C. Harrison. A history of the #Owenist movement in #Britain and the #USA Robert Owen was a #bourgeois philanthropist, factory-reformer and #Utopian #Socialist thinker who, by the mid-1820's, had somewhat ironically become the figurehead of a genuinely working-class based #political #trade_union and #CoOperative movement. The Owenists would be a major influence on #Marx and the #Chartists in the #1840s

I want to read #utopian #solarpunk novels about societies that rever and honor all #gender-non-conforming experiences (especially non-binary, non-cis, #transgender experiences) because of the scientific breakthroughs and cultural insights such individuals unlock for society at large.

Also I'd like to live in these societies in real life.
