It's extremely icky that the uncontroversal bad guy in the Flood myth (Enlil) became the good guy when the polytheist version was flattened into monotheism (Ellil->El).

Like, an omniscient being being sorry for its actions and promising not to do it again...

All the abrahamic religions have to somehow (hands are waved) consider that murdering the entire fucking world can be a good thing to do.

The myth was supposed to be a warning against wrathful dictators.

And then it got turned into ... and advert for wrathful dictatorship?

Into "the wrathful abuser is good, actually".

That's fucked.
