One thing I personally realized about #youtube.

Going to alternative #videosharing #usergenerated #platforms will eventually lead to dissatisfaction because Youtube has all the content you will want. So by using Odysee Peertube or any other platform primarily for video sharing, by themselves you're actually feeding into your desire to stay on Youtube. That is why many feel like they are trapped and can never leave. To really quit Youtube you'l need to quit all primarily user generated video apps.

So if you really want to escape Youtube' algorthm, and channel discovery suppression. The ultimate solution would be to quite using any primarily user generated video sharing sites.

instead, just use #socialmedia Mastodon, Facebook even. anything would be better then YouTube handling of user suppression, favoring corporations.

If you are on social media, and you are following friends , groups, and on your social media feed you happen to see a user generated video shared, or linked to then in my opinion that is a better place then primarily using Youtube in the modern day. YouTube for too long now is restricting user freedom simplifying their ui s to an annoying degree among other seemingly intentional small steps leading to the tiniest annoyances that seems to small for them to fix.
