The rhetoric about #DigitalSupremacy in this day and age is creepy to me. I'm not sure if it's because it's mostly coming from wealthy Western European countries like #thenetherlands and #germany (who have a history of colonization just like my country, the USA).... but it gives me a creepy feeling.

I think that companies like #murena #fairphone #tutanota and other should make #PHILANTHROPY one of their main goals! ... I think #framework does a good job of this on their website addressing the 'We're not sustainable, no one is!' angle... But I would definitely like to see more.

It's strange seeing the companies marketing themselves as the alternative to #BIGTECH when they are selling $1500-2000 NEW phones made with NEW CPUs (that aren't good for the environment or the factory workers that make them). Check out #TSMC and #intel problematic immigrant slave labor.

These up and coming companies should focus on #usedtechnology and set transparent goals for global #ethics and #sourcing practices.
