Shantell PowellI was watching LotR: The Two Towers last night when I noticed something for the first time. When Treebeard takes Pip and Merry to Isengard and sees all the deforestation, he summons all the other Ents to battle. And moments later, they all come bursting from the forest.
Had they been lurking at the edge of the clearcut all this time? Surely if they'd been that close, they would've known about Saruman's kill-them-all policy re. trees.
I get that it's about pacing, but seriously, it's ridonkulous that they were standing just fifty feet back all along the clearcut border just itching for a war.
I still love the LotR movies. The "meat's back on the menu" line also got me thinking about what might be served at an Uruk-hai restaurant. Since they complained about maggoty bread, I think it means they prefer a nice bread, so roast beef sandwiches and hamburgers are probably best sellers. #TheTwoTowers #LOTR #OrcsAndUrukHai #UrukHai #LordOfTheRings
