Lemoine Studios is taking a field trip across the Atlantic, starting with a few days of a return visit to a well known capital with a view of a famous landmark from the bedroom. It's nice, sort of, to look at the continuing horror show in the U.S. from a distance so one can take a breath. #travel #walkingheals #Paris #France #EiffelTower #UrbanHikes
Had no option for alt text, but pictures show the top of the Eiffel Tower lit up in gold and other lights at night and during the afternoon.
#Toronto: A fascinating #city with gorgeous, thriving neighborhoods, a zillion greenspaces, world-class public transportation, and a fairly sterile, glass-tower-powered downtown. We walked and walked and walked and discovered things. Easy to do, because it's mostly flat and you never know what you'll find. Pictures at

The dragonfly lamp in the entrance hallway of our rental house

Our Airbnb rental was on one-block Dundonald Street, near everything and yet very quiet and removed from the urban intensity. It's one of the best we ever had. The listing is at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/9747934?source_impression_id=p3_1734737044_P3Aur4vMb60xBAzR. Also, the first 35 pictures are all of things in the house. Feel free to jump ahead if you don't find them interesting.

When I was done with grocery shopping, I walked in a neighborhood I don't know at all, on and near 11th Avenue West in Queen Anne, in #Seattle. It was late morning, but the air and the colors were still sparkly. It's strange to see flowers, trees, and birds make their #paradise and be completely unaware of looming fascism, forever wars, dictators, religious fanatics, and hatemongers of all stripes.

Highway 520 in #Seattle is closed this weekend because of endless work on the Montlake/520 lid and interchange. On a quiet #Sunday with some warm rain and very few people, I walked on the 520 bridge's hike/bike path. I enjoyed lovely views of Foster and Marsh islands, lots of birds and jumping fish, and a sort of early-pandemic, giddy emptiness.
