Behold; the latest addition to my expensive paperweight collection - my Canon 100-400mm L zoom lens.
This was my go-to lens for wildlife but, due to “lack of spare parts”, it has been deemed “unrepairable” by Canon.
Aside from a small internal wire, it’s still an excellent lens.
I’m quite sure Canon could find some aperture ribbon cables for these lenses but I suspect they just couldn’t be bothered.
It’ll be Sigma for me next time.
What a waste 😖

That shit can't be designed to be fixable and secure and stable and reliable...
