@ChrisMayLA6 As I have said on numerous occasions represententative democracy as an experiment has had its day. The present rise of extremism illustrates this to my mind.
The majority of humans are more than capable of representing themselves. So I hope we will learn from history and try another democratic process involving #universaleducation

As important as consensus is  the process of reaching it is of equal significance, in terms of cohesion, transparency, unity of participation & action... These things need practice, time, patience, self awareness, compassion...

Here's my thinking the following hashtags are the cornerstone of most if not all political ideologies, practices & theories. I understand some "act" more than others & the systems of domination control all our action. But when we choose a label we add to the divisive politics of the mess we're in.
So I am not a socialist, communist, anarchist, liberal, conservative, left, right or middling, I am a human being who advocates whenever & however I can (I know I don't do enough) for #UnityInDiversity #univeraleducation #universalparticipation #universalequality #universalJustice
For me it's not about politics it's about being human.

Representative democracy that's what. As described in this thread we need participative direct democracy, built possibly on cosmolocalism, sortition and people's assemblies. There are frameworks available.
None of them will work whilst the myth of national sovereignty is the trump card (no pun intended). We need planetary citizenship underpinned by #UnityInDiversity #univeraleducation #universalparticipation #universalequality #universaljustice
