David ReamerPre-1933 Cape Sarichef Lighthouse on Unimak Island. Mishap Creek on Unimak Island is named for 1930s incident when Cape Sarichef Lighthouse keeper Lee Harpole tossed his clothes across the creek so that they would be dry after he forded. He missed, & they were swept into sea. Thus, in an epic mishap, he had to walk miles in just underwear & cap, nearly freezing to death. #alaskahistory #alaska #unimak
