I sowed sweet peas at the beginning of last week and they have already germinated. They are now in a cold frame outside as they will get too leggy indoors but they are tough plants. I wouldn't be without them on the plot.

The allotment dahlias are pumping out flowers. I will lift these after the frosts and they will be used next year in the garden revamp. Means I gain a bed for food growing.

Good morning. A throw back photo of last years sweetpeas. Some of my plot neighbours have asked for seed of the varieties I grow, so this years batch are being left to go to seed, hopefully I will have enough to share. These are Spencer types, bred for larger flowers and as a cut flower.
