In 2016, two major earthquakes of 6.5 Richter hit central Italia. Still today, you can see the difference. This is crazy.
All of the medieval (stone house) center of several cities got destroyed, here Amatrice (namegiving to the pizza amatriciana). "Life was hard here before", said a local, "but now ...". They still live in containers and have malls in containers. Why? Because there's no city anymore...

Oh, we've hit the sweet spot of the whole year. Grapes are harvested and doing their thing, olives have another 6 weeks or so, weeds and bugs are (mostly) under control. And the cloudless perfect days have arrived. So glad to be here in #Umbria
