Milano, 20 apr. (Adnkronos) - Le foto sul campo di calcio si alternano a quelle sulle spiagge siciliane, di cui era originario, sui profili social di Gabriele Vaccaro, il 25enne ucciso nella notte tra sabato e domenica in un parcheggio a Pavia. I sorrisi abbracciato alla sorella gemella, i viaggi con gli amici, le passeggiate all'ombra della Madonnina e il tifo per l'Inter allo stadio: immagini che mostrano tutto l'entusiasmo di un giovane, che da pochi mesi si era trasferito nel Pavese per lavoro, ma con il cuore nella sua Favara.
Il comune in provincia di Agrigento osserverà il lutto cittadino per il giorno dei funerali , come ha annunciato il sindaco Antonio Palumbo, descrivendo sui social un "dolore tanto grande da essere inimmaginabile", che appartiene non solo alla famiglia Vaccaro, ma "a ogni singola strada e a ogni singola casa della nostra città". Una "tragedia" l'omicidio di Gabriele, per cui questa mattina è stato fermato un minorenne, che - dice il primo cittadino - "ci lascia svuotati, impotenti. Davanti a una violenza che non trova alcuna giustificazione. Non è solo una vita che si interrompe, è un ragazzo che viene derubato della propria luce. È la nostra comunità che perde un pezzo di futuro".
Lo stesso sentimento che si respira anche a Pavia. "Non ci sono parole per descrivere lo sgomento che si prova di fronte a una giovane vita spezzata da un gravissimo atto criminale", scrive su Facebook il sindaco della città lombarda, Michele Lissia, stringendosi "intorno alla famiglia di Gabriele, ai suoi amici, alle persone a lui care e a tutta la comunità di Favara: a loro esprimo tutto il cordoglio e l'affetto della città di Pavia".
Ieri Gabriele Vaccaro è stato ricordato in campo da tifosi e giocatori della CastrumFavara, la squadra in cui anche lui aveva militato. "Il tuo sorriso vivrà eterno" si legge nel cartellone esposto durante la partita con il Gela, finita 3-1 per i padroni di casa. Una vittoria dedicata proprio a Gabriele, inneggiato dalla curva alla fine dei 90 minuti. "Lo abbiamo onorato oggi", ha detto l'allenatore Pietro Infantino.

The smiles embraced by his twin sister, the trips with friends, walks in the shade of the Madonnina (statue of the Virgin Mary), and cheering for Inter at the stadium: images that show all the enthusiasm of a young man, who had only recently moved to the Pavia area for work, but with his heart in his Favara.
The municipality in the province of Agrigento will observe a day of mourning for the citizens on the day of the funeral, as announced by Mayor Antonio Palumbo, who described on social media a "pain so great that it is unimaginable," which belongs not only to the Vaccaro family, but “to every single street and every single house in our city.” An “atrocity” was the murder of Gabriele, for which a minor was arrested this morning – according to the mayor – “leaving us empty, powerless. Before a violence that finds no justification. It’s not just a life that is interrupted, it’s a boy who is robbed of his light. It’s our community that loses a piece of the future.”
The same feeling is felt even in Pavia. “There are no words to describe the shock felt in the face of a young life cut short by a serious criminal act,” writes the mayor of the Lombard city, Michele Lissia, on Facebook, “around the family of Gabriele, his friends, the people dear to him and the entire community of Favara: to them I express all the condolences and affection of the city of Pavia.”
Yesterday Gabriele Vaccaro was remembered on the field by fans and players of CastrumFavara, the team in which he also played. “Your smile will live forever” can be read on the banner displayed during the match with Gela, which ended 3-1 for the home team. A victory dedicated specifically to Gabriele, hailed by the Ultras at the end of the 90 minutes. “We honored him today,” said coach Pietro Infantino.
