Mystery Jets to tour UK and Ireland in late 2026 alongside upcoming seventh album release
Mystery Jets have announced a new UK and Ireland tour scheduled for November 2026, coinciding with the release of their forthcoming seventh studio album, ‘A Hole To See The Sky Through’. The tour will begin on 22 November at SWG2 Studio Warehouse in Glasgow, followed by a performance at the O2 Ritz in Manchester on 23 November. The band will then head to London for a show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on 24 November, before continuing to Portsmouth’s The Wedgewood Rooms on 27 November, and concluding at the Academy Green Room in Dublin on 29 November.
The tour supports the band’s new album, set for release on 21 August via Fiction Records. The record takes its title from Yoko Ono’s minimalist artwork of the same name, with the album cover directly referencing her original design – a white postcard featuring a circular cut-out – used with the artist’s permission. The album was produced by Leo Abrahams, known for his work with Brian Eno and Frightened Rabbit, and explores themes including freedom, forgiveness, trauma, and wisdom across nine tracks.
According to press materials, the album completes a thematic trilogy spanning the band’s recent work, shifting from cosmic perspectives to more grounded social commentary and back again. It follows their 2020 album ‘A Billion Heartbeats’ and continues their evolving artistic direction. The album has already been previewed with singles such as ‘Black Sage’ and the title track ‘A Hole To See The Sky Through I’.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on 5 June at 10am BST, with pre-sale access available from 3 June. The announcement follows additional recent activity from the band, including bassist Jack Flanagan’s solo work and their 2020 covers project ‘Home Protests’.
