This appalling exchange captured by Sky News is a horrific snapshot of precisely where the UK is right now

If you want a snapshot of where the UK finds itself right now – not all the UK, obviously, but large parts of it – then look no further than this appalling exchange captured by Sky News. It’s an interview which was hijacked by these passers by who felt no shame in bellowing exactly what […]

Time to do a #Custerfuchs about people who have and act on personal narratives which are based around torture & murder of "others" and how the British media and establishment are currently engaging in reinforcing those narratives by projecting them onto "asylum seekers".

In a law court, knowledge that someone has those opinions would be considered evidence of "malice aforethought" or "premeditation".
Disseminating those opinions would be considered incitement and not "legitimate complaints" or "legitimate political discourse".

The essay is going to need a clever title.
Something like
"Nigel Farage is planning Genocide"
or something like that.

"Social liberals, despite making up at least half the UK population, have little voice in politics and the media nowadays. They are the new silent majority. This alone is a good reason for a new party of the left, and a more active Green leadership, but neither will make much of an impact on a broadcast media that is used to balancing the government with the opposition, and which largely ignores other political parties unless they are led by Farage. It will of course make no impact on the right wing press."

#SkyNews is now calling for violence against #refugees and #illegalimmigration, and to #StopTheBoats.

So while #GBNews does not have much of an audience, its existence is dragging other #UKMedia to the extreme #rightwing.

Illegal immigrants are mostly people who entered the country entirely legally and have overstayed their visas.

I no longer live in the UK, but I care about what is going on there.

I am deeply worried that GB News is beginning to do to the UK what Fox has done to the USA.

As if any effort was needed to find examples of how scummy and division-stoking the British newspapers are, and how stirred up with hate they have made *small* parts of the UK, they try to make light the resultant situation they have contributed to with their agendas.

It’s got to the stage that tents will set a small number of people off. It isn’t just hotel usage that triggers now.

The British Media appear strangely uninterested in Britain’s role in Gaza

'Far from holding power to account, mainstream media – through their silence and meekness – are allowing the UK Government to get away with murder in Gaza. '

The BBC, for all its shortcomings, is one of the best online news sources.

Paywalling its content in a superpower poorly served by broadcast media and awash with misinformation, disinformation, and UScentric journalism is bad news for everybody.
