The Mercian Pilgrim 🌲 ⛰️A walk along part of the Monarchs Way this morning, took me over to Halesowen Abbey.
The abbey was inaugurated in 1218 by Peter des Roches and controlled a number of churches in the area. It was eventually disestablished in 1538. The ruins are managed by English Heritage.
