Always nice when something unexpected turns up .... on Sunday, Mr @exebirder.bsky.social Dave B and I were following the call of a newly-arrived Cuckoo when we heard the unmistakable reeling of of a newly-arrived Grasshopper Warbler. After a slow process of stop, wait and listen we found the bird.

Even if I say so myself, there's some good footage of Red Kite and Great Bustard on this video. The Red-legged and Grey Partridge and Stone Curlew bits are just average 😂

Before the Forster's Tern, I spent a fabulous 3 hours on a Birds of Poole Harbour Spring Safari boat trip around Poole Harbour. Thoroughly recommend it. 2 White-tailed Eagle and over 40 species of bird in total. Loved it. #UKBirding #Birds #Dorset #Poole #nature #wildlife
