Update: I tried to copy the themes to the themes folder (I had to run Nautilus as root to gain the permission to do this) the themes are showing up now, but they are on the wrong dropdown list (icons) and not a separate 4th field. I could not find a .themes folder, so I made one at root, but it doesn't do anything. Attempting to load any of these themes causes the system to immediately reach 100% CPU usage across all CPUs, so they aren't installed correctly. What do I have to do to make the custom theme field show up.

I have been following this guide to try and install a theme on my system: https://linux.how2shout.com/installing-gnome-tweaks-in-ubuntu-24-04-linux-to-customize-it/
the guide says it is for Ubuntu 24.04, but GNOME Tweaks looks completely different compared to what is shown in the guide (the light mode screenshot)
Has GNOME really changed this much in less than 2 years? All of the relevant settings cannot be found.
I tried installing `gnome-tweaks` `gnome-shell-extension-manager` and `dconf-editor` I am not finding any such setting in GNOME-Tweaks to enable a custom theme.
What am I doing wrong?

This is the error I got with a larger hard drive (16 terabytes, also Western Digital, and also NTFS) on Ubuntu 22.04 (although the issue was not present on any of my drives with Ubuntu 20.04)

This issue is still unresolved, and I would like to get further help here. I have a temporary workaround using USB sticks, but it isn't going to hold up for long.

I am willing to contribute towards #mutualaid for those who can help.

#ubuntu24 lädt mit einer Standardinstallation das #kvm #Kernel #Modul. Das kollidiert dann natürlich mit #VirtualBox #VMs.

Wozu wird das Modul geladen, wenn es eigentlich nicht gebraucht wird. Habe jedenfalls bisher noch keine Anwendung gehabt, die es benötigt.

Auch bei #ubuntu24 befindet sich der Anmeldebildschirm nach dem Aufwachen aus dem #Bereitschaftsmodus manchmal in einem Zustand, indem das Eingabefeld für das Passwort nur mit der Maus aktivierbar ist. Jedenfalls ist es nicht via [Tab] zu erreichen. Es ist das einzige Element auf dem Bildschirm, außer dem Ein/Aus in der Taskleiste. Weslhalb hat das keinen automatischen Fokus?

Nichts für #blinde Nutzer!

Das solche Basics oft über Jahre keine Beachtung finden frustriert.
