Many in Big Tech argue that the 'answer' to AI's social disruption is Universal Basic Income; but the Q. is: if that's the case how would you fund it?
For followers of Modern Monetary Theory, this may be the wrong Q. as the state *could* choose to create the money/credit to do so....
For mainstream economists the answer would need to be higher taxation....
But Big Tech only insist its not their profits that should be used to pay for UBI; so just more sociopathic economics, then!

Apparently, if you are willing to spend enough money, the high-end AI code is pretty good. About $200/month gets you extremely rapid program development, and one of the AI agents can allegedly code for 12 hours before cranking out garbage.
So, are you paid more than $200/month? Can you code that many times faster and better than the best AI to make your salary worth it to a company? Would you work for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, for $200/month? AI will.
Capitalism, married to AI, is now eating jobs by the thousands, and from now on will be generating fortunes off of the position and movement of electrons in spacetime. No humans needed. No humans wanted.
We are experiencing a dwindling job market. We shall experience a growing human job exodus.
If AI can code on its own, drive a car, truck, or bus, operate complex machinery in factories, design and build cars, military hardware, airplanes, spacecraft, plant seed and nurture it until it harvests it, and do everything a CEO demands of it day, night, 24/7, there are no jobs for any of us, of any kind, anymore, beginning right now. The AI revolution comes with no keen new jobs for humans beyond serving the dwindling needs of AI.
Ask your representative in government whether they would prefer UBI begins now, or after 8 billion people riot because they cannot feed their families.
@cbcnews @edmonton-cbcnews whilst it has no stabilised, the sudden opening of East Germany to the west was extremely painful for the people in East Germany. Not immediately but over the following years.
Care has to be taken not to throw the baby out with the bathwater; there would have to be a lifting of sanctions and gradual distribution of wealth before any lowering of barriers could take place.

Ich finde "geklaut" bei der Initiative den falschen Begriff, da die Rechte ja "freiwillig" abgegeben werden. Aber beim Verwertungsrecht sind Begriffe wie "#Raubmordkopie" ja üblich.
